A Rustle of Leaves

Just a few more moments to share, before they passed by my memory... Not sure if this was BEFORE or AFTER Qboy passed out on a roller coaster at Six Flags. True Story. And he went on more rides AFTER said incident! Remember this day, guys? We went to the Provo Farmers Market with my family, bought honey, and went to the Pioneer Day Festival. Baby is so little and happy! O me O my! Look whose dream just came true! A day out with the family. Wedding Day! Cutie Pies! Meet Ringo, Qboy's tortoise. That is all he wanted for his birthday present a year ago, but after seeing how much they cost, he was determined to get used to the idea of not ever having one. But Sam's coworker was offering her tortoise for free. Of course Sam volunteered. We told the great news to Qboy. On the day that the tortoise was to come home with Sam, he called me and told me, "She gave it away!" We were devasted. His coworker gave away our tortoise even though she said we could have it. Qboy came home from school, so excited, and I had to break the news to him. He was SO sad, put his head in my shoulder and cried. Two weeks later, the tortoise was up for grabs again! This time, we didn't tell Qboy about it. We left it a surprise in case it didn't work out again. Early one Saturday Morning in April, Sam woke Qboy up and asked him to go for a drive out to the Salt Flats with him. Qboy sleepily followed Sam and made the 2 hour drive. They met a man at a gas station. Sam asked Qboy to follow him to meet the man. He opened his van and there was Qboy's tortoise!!! He was surprised beyond words and he cried once more. He came home with the biggest and proudest smile on his face. This is the story of our newest pet. Whenever I see her, I think of the smile on my son's face. My Besh Besh throwing a fit. He is growing up so much, and his fits are getting less and less, I have to remember this sad little face to remind me how young and new he still is. He is a very sensitive person and I love it!
